Got Implant Placed, Arm Having Pinching Feeling, Not Painful. Nerve Damage? Can I Get In Replaced?

I got implanon placed 48 hours ago. When I move my arm in a certain motion, a pinching feeling occurs. It is not painful, but rather like something is moving around under my skin. Im not sure if it is nerve damage or if it is just the skin healing and thus pulling. Can I get in replaced? Will this likely go away on its own?

Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

Assuming that the overlying skin is not red or tender (that might indicate an infection) and given that you just had this placed, I would not panic just yet. This likely just represents the way that your body is reacting to a 'foreign body'. In all likelihood, if you give it more time, you will not notice these symptoms any more. If the symptoms persist beyond a week or more, or if the skin looks infected, then call your doctor. It is virtually impossible for this to represent nerve damage.

I hope that this helps!
