Got My Periods In The First Week Of The Month. Had Unprotected Sex. Two Hours After, Got My Periods. Suggestions On Earlier Periods

I had my period on April 1st and it lasted until about April 4th or 5th throughout this time I have been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend. On April 27th we had sex and about an hour or two later, I experienced a lot of cramping and another hour later I was bleeding. The cramping lasted for 2 with pain meds and the bleeding lasted about 3. What could this be?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
The possibilities are:
-During menstruation the local protection will be some what reduced, so there is more possibility to get pelvic infection.
-Sometimes periods can start few days early.
-Post coital tear.
So if the cramping continues or bleeding reappears occasionally (not like menstrual flow) then once consult gynecologist and get examined.

Hello,
thanks for using health care magic

What you re describing appears to be your normal menses. Normal menstrual cycle last from 21days to 35 days. You had your menses on the 1st and again had it on the 27th which is 26 days later and which is perfectly within the normal range.

It was a coincidence that the day you had sex your menses began. However, emotional situations can affect the onset of menses.

Sexual intercourse during menses predisposes to infections which can be very disastrous.

Hope this answers your query.
Best regards
