Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had pain in my upper groin near my spermadic cords, and I am naucious (spelling) and feverish right now again like the last two times I went to the emergency room. What is wrong with me and why do they say it is a groin strain then question themselves? It is painful. They did hernia testing and they did ultrasounds + catscans, yet nothing shows. Could there be a hernia there still? I am an athlete.
Hello, Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query. I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through. There could be the following possible diagnoses: 1) Hernia 2) Infection in the spermatic cord
Both of them can present with similar symptoms. If CT scan has not showed anything, then you should try getting a semen culture and sesitivity. Hernia is a predominantly a clinical diagnosis.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns. If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you. In future if you wish to contact me directly, you can use the below mentioned link: bit.ly/dr-srikanth-reddy
