Growing Marble Size Lump On Tibia. Hurts To Touch. Matter Of Concern?

Hi, I just recently noticed a marble size lump on my tibia and within days of my noticing, it has grown. I have an appointment with an orthopedic doctor Tuesday, however, I am worried and impatient. The lump is about an inch long and an inch wide, hard to the touch, and causes a small amount of pain when touched. It does not move when pushed. Should I be concerned? Thank you!

Hi ! From the history it seems that the lump you have mentioned is directly related to the tibia. I do not know if there is history of any recent/old trauma. In that case it could be an organised hematoma , a benign condition, which may get absorbed gradually. Otherwise, the lump could be directly from the tibia bone itself, the nature of which can be known by clinical examination by the orthopedician and other investigations like radiology, and histo pathology if need be.
Wishing you an early recovery.
