HI, About 6 Months Ago, I Had Braces. And A

HI, about 6 months ago, I had braces. And a couple of months after the braces, my orthodontist referred me to a hygienist and then a periodontist who said I have inflammation and my gums are infected due to build of plaque. As of last week, I had a gingivectomy for the upper arch of my teeth and next week I have another appointment for the lower arch. However, since about 3 days now, I can feel a lump on the roof of mouth near my front teeth growing back, after it had already been removed during the gingivectomy by the periodontist.
My question is, what is the lump, is the inflammation or gingivitis occurring again?

Thank you.
