HIV Negative Partners. Have Sinus Infection, Prone To Allergies. On Steroids. What Can Be Understood By This?

Hello. About a month and a half ago, I met with a friend who said he was HIV negative to engage in sexual relations with. We did not have anal sex or ejaculate in each other's mouths. The only things we did were some oral and some anal fingering. Since him, I had intercourse with another man who also said he was HIV negative, wearing a condom. I did not ejaculate inside nor did I provide him any oral. I have a few reasons why I'm slightly worried about having HIV. First of all, I am a constant worrier. Secondly, I have had a sinus infection since. The first week in March, I had a severe sinus infection which I did not go to the doctor for, and just waited out. I got better after a week, and then, two weeks later, met with the first guy I mentioned. The next week, I met with the second guy. About a week after that, I started to feel the allergies again, then got better. About a week ago, I started feeling like I had a sinus infection again, so I went to the doctor and got some cephalexin and steroids. Prior to all of this happening, I had been in a monogamous relationship for two years, and had gotten routinely tested throughout. I am also very prone to allergies and have had mono in the past. I didn't know if this sinus infection I currently have is just left over from the first one I had in March or simply a result of allergies or what. I live in Denton, TX, and it is known for being an allergy hotspot. I hope all of this makes sense, and I would appreciate your thoughts on the matter. Thank you.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
First of all, the reliability of the words of your sex partners that they were negative for HIV is questionable. Nobody with a sexual urge will accept to reveal their positive HIV status.
Even if they were not hiding the fact, there may be every chance for them to be in window period, that is they will have the disease but the blood test will be negative.
But even if they had HIV , still there is a possibility that you might not have been infected with HIV.

Sinus infection is common for anybody and that didn't indicate HIV.
It is better for you to have a blood screening for HIV after two months and get confirmed that you are negative for HIV.
Good luck to you.
