HIV Person, Having Stiffness In All Joints, Swollen Fingers. Had Partial Hysterectomy With Lymph Nodes Removed. Should I Have Hysterectomy ?

Hi I am a 56 year old HIV person. I have been experiencing stiffness in all my joints, My fingers feel swollen inside when I make a closed fist. This may be 2 different things going on but. About 6 months ago I was seen by 2 different cancer drs who both diagnosed me with lymphoma .I had a biopsy for one of the lumps and I had a pet scan to support their findings and it was confirmed. At this same time My Gyn dr told me I had cervical cancer. The cancer dr scheduled me for another biposy for another lump in my groin area at the same time my gyn dr did the partial hysterectomy. After the partial hysterectomy was done , the surgeon immediatedly went into my groin and the huge lymph node I had, was gone and all other lymph nodes were gone. and the prior pet scan show them inside my entire body and I was about to be scheduled for chemo . But all the lymph nodes went away after the partial was done. The surgeon for the lymph node called me after ward and said I do not have lymph node cancer. My gyn still wants to complete the hysterectomy but I haven't gone back yet. How could this lymphoma scare happen after all testing was done? P.S. Sorry for the typo's.

Hello,

There is an increased incidence of lymphoma in a HIV patient than in general population.
Any lymph nodal swelling which is rubbery in consistency in HIV patient, Lymphoma has to be excluded.
At times there may be false positive result due to the presence of chronic infection which may mimic lymphoma.
