Had Caudal Epidural. Going Through Menopause. Have IUD. Have Spotting After Injection. Guidance?

I had a caudal epidural about 3 weeks ago. I am going through menepause and have an IUD for heavy bleeding. It worked fine for 3 years. Since my injection i have been spotting or bleeding since April 27th. My doctor started me on estradiol . He wants me to take it for 2 weeeks, my last dose is tomorrow. I am scared cause i have an appt on june 4th for trigger point injections for my neck . Could these shots be causing the bleeding and should i continue them? I had first trigger injection on Dec 26th 2012.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The mild and irregular spotting that you are having is not likely to be related to the caudal epidural anaesthesia that you had recently. This is more likely to be related to a mild hormonal imbalance.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
