The most common causes for
loss of consciousness in an apparently healthy adult are
syncope and seizures.
In syncope, the blood flow to brain reduces for a short while, which leads to loss of consciousness. This is precipitated by exhaustion,
anxiety, pain, hunger, illness, etc.
In seizures, abnormal electrical discharges in the brain lead to fits and loss of consciousness.
Please consult a physician/
neurologist for evaluation, as it can be treated after confirming the diagnosis.
