Had X-ray With Minimal PTB Right Upper Lobe Minimal Redicular Densities, Taking 2 Month And 4 Drug Combo. Should I Stop Medicine?
I had my x-ray and it said i have minimal PTB right upper lobe minimal redicular densities. i started taking the 2 month 4 drug combo and i am nearing my 2 month regimen. my question is how should i know if i will stop or continue to take medicines. I don t have the benefit of seeing a medical professional as I am overseas
I assume the four drugs you took are rifampicin, isoniazid, ethambutol n pyrazinamide and in the right doses for two months. No, you cannot stop the medicines after two months. you need to continue rifampicin and isoniazid for the next four months, as six months is the course of the treatment..For monitoring, repeat a chest x-ray n blood tests. Hope that solves your doubt.
