Had A Car Accident. Have Trigger Point Problems. On Vicadin. Stopped The Medicament. Now Have Migraines. Treatment?
I had a car accident in 2004 and have been on disability since. I have suffered with neck and back pain some arthritis but mostly from the accident Whiplash I went through2 yrs of therapy but never could get past the trigger point problems. up until fall of 2012 I was taking vicadin for pain, they had me on (Lyrica, cymbalta, neurotin) at one point too but was unable to pay the costs so I took myself off. Anyway I have suffered with migraines getting worse over the last 6 years. When I was at the hearing for ssdi my lawyer commented on all the white areas on my mri commenting on them giving me so much trouble with disability. I never saw those reports should I be concerned. My migraines are just calming down some after having a series of botox starting sept2012
Hello.About white areas en MRI ,I would need to read the full report for comment.About migraine,Botox injected is a recent treatment for migraine but other treatments are also effective.I treat my patients with antinflammatories (for example naproxeno) or serotonin receptor agonists (for example sumatriptan) to relieve migraine crisis. There are also effective treatments to prevent crisis ,for example Flunarizine 5mg per day. Please consult your local doctor for a prescription. I wish you good health. (In case the answer would have been useful please indicate this)
