Had A Defibrillator And On Heart Medication. Increased Diet And Changed The Diet. Legs Are Weak. Suggest The Cure?
Hello my father in-law has had a difibulator for about two years and has been on heart meds for about two years. He has increased his exercise and changed he diet, but his legs still get week later in the day to the point he sometimes loses balanced. he has a doctors appointment today and I m wondering what questions I should be asking or if there s some suggestion I should make.
Thanks for the query. A very important question that should be asked given his cardiac history is about the possibility of peripheral vascular disease of the legs, that presents with weakness or claudication. You should ask if a simple test called ABI is indicated in his case.
Hope this helps, yours truly,
