Had A Pap Smear, Was Uncomfortable And Painful. Could The Reason For Painful Pap Test Be Due To Celibacy?
Hi. Yes I just jad a pap smear today and it was a little uncomfortable, somewhat painful so to speak. My doctor says that everything appears to be normal externally but of course I must wait 10 days for the results to come back. I was just curious in knowing could the reason for a tender/painful pap smear be due to years of celibacy? I have been celibate for 4years and have no children. Feedback would appreciated dearly.
Hi and thank you so much for this query. I a sorry to hear you had a painful pap smear specimen collection. I am however happy that you are being proactive in he fight against cervical cancer. please, do continue!
The cause of this pain is NOT celibacy. Maybe you are simple more sensitive to pains and have a lower tolerance levels. As your doctor rightly said, it is only after getting the histopathological analysis a definite answer on whether it is normal or not would be made.
I hope this answers your query fully.
