Had A Stye Removed, Allergic To Penicillin. Given Antibiotics. Should I Fear Infection?

Hi, I had a stye removed last week. The stitch hasn't fallen out yet. How long does it usually take for them to come out? Also, the doctor gave me a antibiotic to take so it wont get infected. I'm not able to take it because I'm allergic to pencillian, and it has it in it. I don't feel comfortable going back to that doctor because he seemed like he was scared to remove it and kept going in and out of the room. I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone in his office to let them know about the antibiotic.

Hi,
Antibiotic medicine is necessary after removal of stye.
If you are allergic to this antibiotic, he might have changed the antibiotic.
Any way now if there is no infection and healing is good, forget about antibiotic.
If self dissolving stitches are taken then no need of removal.
Within few days it will be dissolved.
If stitches are of silk then it should be removed.
