Had Anal Sex. Took Precautions And Having Vaginal Bleeding. Could I Ask A Doctor?

Hello, This morning my boyfriend and I have had anal sex. I have had anal sex before never having issues before. We took proper precautions and made sure I was empty and he had a condom. However when we were done I had vaginal bleeding. I do not understand. I had my period about 2 weeks ago (possibly week and a half). I am 19 years old having plenty of sex before never having this happen. I am hoping it is just nothing because I can't afford to see a doctor right now. Thanks please respond soon.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
The possible causes for your bleeding are :
- Ovulatory bleeding, as you were around the time of ovulation at the time of intercourse.
-Hormonal imbalance leading to intermenstrual spotting.
-Tearing of rectal and vaginal mucosal layers due to anal intercourse.
So, if your bleeding is persistent better to consult gynecologist once and get examined to find out the exact cause of your problem .
Take care.
