Had Antibiotics For Respiratory Infection, Still Have Bad Cough. On Clarithromycin, Body Chills, Congestion. Bronchitis ?

3-4 weeks ago, I had respiratory thing, cough, fever, aches, and spit up stuff. Took antibitoic for 10 days. Still had bad cough over the weeks. I am on clarithromycin now, cause the doctor thought i have bronchitis or whooping cough. Started it on Friday. I had body aches, chills, and congestion. Have had fever between 100-101 when i have checked it. not feeling better, get headaches off and on since weekend, tonight neck is sore on right side. Coughing up foamy spit since started antibiotic. This evening had to go to bathroom, diarrhea, stomach pain, nausea, cold sweats, weak, and I had throbbing in left calf like cramps, and then it was tingling. I have to breathe like I am in labor to stay as calm and keep from vomiting, plus I press my forearm against bathroom wall cause it is cool, and helps a little. I took two aspirin earlier this evening for the fever

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Since you mentioned that cough is from last 1 month 9 4 weeks) along fever with expectoration ( mucus or phlegm).
Cough,
fever,
chills,
rigor,
body ache,
congestion,
breathlessness.
All are an indication of lung disease, may be
1 Tuberculosis,
2 Asthmatic allergic bronchitis,
3 Pneumonitis or bronchiectasis.
For confirmation get in an X ray of chest + blood for C B C , E S R .
Consult a physician and get his opinion.
The loose motion , vomiting are due to antibiotics and drugs used for this disease.
Alternatively you can consult pulmonologist .
However all symptoms may be due to bronchial asthma, so also think about that.
Hope I have answered your question.
If further any question I will help.
Good luck.
Dr. HET
