Had Anxiety Attack, Have Brown Discharge, Tiredness, Mood Swings, Bloated. Started Birth Control. Could I Be Pregnant?
I started birth control about 2 months ago. Last month I missed 1 pill I believe in the second week of the pack, but had a normal period on sept 4th. This month I missed 2 pills last week thursday and friday. So I skipped thursday all together and took friday and saturday together. Sunday I noticed some brown discharge which went away. Come monday up until now I have been yawning alot, extremely tired, very moody, bloated, have a weird taste in my mouth, some back pains. Last night I had a slight pain in my hips that went away and I believe I may have had an anxiety attack. Today I have brown discharge again. It isn't alot but it is there. I'm not supposed to be getting my period until next week. I'm also feeling slightly weak. Is this something I should be concern with? Could I be pregnant? Or could this all be cause of missing the birth control pills?
Above features are mostly suggestive of PMS. However, you need to exclude pregnancy by home pregnancy test or blood test if you miss your next period. Brown discharge may be due to implantation bleeding (H/O missed pill), stress, hormonal imbalance, old endometrial tissue, pelvic infection etc. Pills side effect is an additional cause.
At this time, you would take balanced diet, drink more water, avoid stress, take some anti-spasmodic medication or muscle relaxant gel, maintain genital hygiene and take adequate rest.
