Had Brown Discharge, Headaches, Back Pain, Nausea. Negative Pregnancy Test. Stopped Taking Birth Control. What Is Wrong?

Hello, I recently stopped taking birth contol at the beginning of August. I had a regular period on August 9. Then, on September 12 and 13 I spotted. It was just brownish blood with a light red blood once. I have had horrible headaches, horrible back pain, i'm nauseous, extremely tired, my breasts are very sore. I have taken several pregancy tests and all were negative. Can this just be my body adjusting to me getting off birth control?

Hi,
In the event of several negative pregnancy tests, conception can almost be ruled out. It is more likely to be the result of the readjustment of the body to withdrawal of contraception. Your symptoms suggest the influence of hormones, especially progesterone. You can exclude/confirm pregnancy by the blood test for pregnancy along with a trans-vaginal sonogram. Return to ovulation may not happen for a couple of cycles, so there seems to be no reason for worry. Hope this helps.
