Had Cyst Removed. Done Epididydectomy. Have Pain And Discomfort. Sexual Activity Possible?

Hi Doc,

I recently had a cyst removed at which time the surgeon also did an epididyectomy(?) I have some pain and discomfort. It has been 8 days since the surgery. I am wondering when I may be able to engage in any sexual activity.....masturbation or intercourse. Uh, I am extremely ready!!!!!!!!!!! Any ideas?

Hello,
Thanks for writing in.

Since its just over a week since you had your surgery, I think you should for some more time. The idea over here is to allow the surgical wound to heal considerably. I think it required a small incision to remove the cyst. At least 10 days are required for swelling to come down and feel confortable and after that even when you are having intercourse or masturbating, please be gentle and stop if it starts paining in the scrotum.
