Had Dengue Fever. Rashes Have Started To Subside. Now Hair Is Falling Out. Permanent Or Temporary?

I had dengue fever (contracted while on vacation in Costa Rica). It was type one but was fairly severe. I was very ill from July 12 to about the 22 when the last of the rash began to subside. I am now noticing that my hair seems to be falling out, a lot more than normal. Is this a typical aftereffect of dengue? Is it permanent or will this symptom resolve as well?

Hello,

Increased hair fall may be a coincidence following dengue infection.
But this does not have any clinical correlation.
You may consult your doctor to evaluate any post dengue complication and request for a referral to a trichologist for your hair fall problem.
