Had Done Ovarian Drilling. On Metformin,folic Acid And OVAA SHIELD-DS Tablets. How Will The Medicines Work?
im 35 (in oct),married for a year,always had unprotected sex,but still not conceive yet...had done ovarian drilling 15days back...now my doc prescribed me metformin,folic acid and OVAA SHIELD-DS tablets...what are the chances of conceiving for me?i want to conceive as soon as possible..how does all these medicines work with my conditions?

they have done ovarian drilling, for PCOD..
metformin help in correction of insulin resistance which happens in PCOD..
folic acid is given as a prophylaxis to prevent neural tube defects in case you concieve now..
ovashield has clomiphene citrate which helps in ovulation induction.. lateron you have to go for follicular study from 10 day onwards..

Looking at your age & urgency to conceive your doctor has prescribed -
Metformin-to take care of insulin resistance .
Folic acid - to prevent congenital anomalies (including Spinabifida)
Ovaa shield DS - For ovulation induction
With all the possible aid being given, you would conceive in a couple of months.
Ovulation study or LH surge testing will give you hint about ovulation day . You have an unprotected sex at ovulation gives maximal chances of conception.
