Had Heart Palpitations, Upper Back Murmur. Panicked, Unable To Sleep. Prescribed Exeffor. Can Take Prozac Instead?
I was upset, had heart palpitations and upper back murmur. I panicked over it and started not to sleep anymore, since October 12th. I became depressed right the way and it is getting worse, even physically. I don't smile, I am sad, I move slow. I went to the doctor and he gave me 150mg Exeffor to start take. I am afraid to start it. Should I ask for Prozac instead? Maybe it is easier with withdrawal symptoms? Isn't 150

Both are antianxiety antipanic drugs.Exeffor is velafaxine and prozac is fluoxetine.
Studies have proved that venlafaxine is superior to fluoxetine. So it is better to continue Exeffor.Hope this may help you.
