Had Hemorrhoid Burst After Fall, Applying Antibiotic Ointment. Around Site Peeling When Wiped, Flesh Dark. Fungal Infection?

I recently had a hemorrhoid problem that ended when i fell and it burst. I have been cleaning the area with antibiotic ointment and keeping a gauze patch over the injury. recently the bleeding stopped but the area around the injury ( that one that was wet from blood for a long time has started peeling off whenever I wipe. There is no pain, bit the flesh is a darkish color could this just be because the area was wet for so long or might it be a fungal problem? What should I do?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome to HCM. Thank you for your querry.
This can be fungal infection but also bacterial infection or haematoma accumulation. I suggest to visit proctologist for further evaluation. This area is very sensitive to infection and abscess formation. It is recommended to surgically remove hemorrhoids because it will ever pass by itself. Wish you good health
