Had Hernia Surgery. Bottom Part Had Discoloration. Now Scrotum Began To Have The Same Color As Testicles. Related To Surgery?

Hi, I'm am 21 years old and I just had hernia surgery on my right side. Two days after my surgery, I awoke to the bottom of my penis, the part closest to my body, had a discoloration. It looked like the skin was thinner and was blood colored. After a day or so, it slightly faded, but my scrotum began to have the same color in the middle of it right in between my testicles. What could this be? Anything relating to the surgery?

Hello
Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have recently undergone surgery of hernia and have noticed discolouration of skin at the site of surgery.
This could be most likely to be due to collection of blood or serous fluid in subcutaneous plane secondary to inflammation.
Most of the time this gets resolved by taking antibiotics and anti inflammatory for a week.
There is nothing to worry about it will getcured with antibiotics and anti inflammatory medication.
