Had Hysterectomy Due To Fibroids And Bleeding, Saved Cervix And One Ovary. Had Colon Spasms, Take Benadryl

I had my hysterectomy July 16th. Dr. saved cervix and right ovary. Hysterectomy due to fibroids and bleeding. Before surgery I had IBS/Colon spasms. Seems to be worse now. I take Bentyl for spasm and I'm finding myself taking it every day now. I had scar tissue on my colon which the dr. removed. Did the surgery cause my spasms to be worse? What can I do to stop them? The spasms hurt so bad.

Hi,
Thank you for choosing Healthcaremagic. You need further evaluation before taking any medicicnes, as some medicines can worsen the situation. My advise get a scan of abdomen & pelvis to know any other problem, also visit your treating physician for IBS evaluation and treatment.
