Had Hysterectomy, Ovaries Removed. Was Using Estrasorb Estrogen Cream. Told It Was Discontinued. Is It True?

Hi. I had a hysterectomy when I was 32. I had my ovaries removed at 42. I am now 56. I have been using estrasorb cream for quite a number of years now. I think the manufacturer discontinued it. Not sure why. And I would like to use something similar. Most estrogens give me migraines, so I was very happy with the estrasorb. Do you know if it was indeed discontinued? Thanks for your help.

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this. It can be hard knowing that what works best for you is no longer there. I have not found any information suggesting that this drug has been stopped. Check with the pharmacist and find out if they simply stopped receiving the command at their facility or they mean it is a world wide stop which is very unlikely.

Also, check with other pharmacies and talk to your doctor about this. There are other cream formulations of this drug that can still be used in the same way and should be used if the conclusion is that estrasorb is no longer available on the shelves. Your doctor and pharmacist would help you with this.

I hope you find this helpful. Thank you for using our services and please feel free to request for more information if need be. I wish you well good health.
