Had Loose Stools, Burning Sensation In Back Of Throat. Itchy Back, Shoulder, Wrist. Is It Flu?
Hi! I have been back and forth to the restroom today with an unsettled tummy. I had very loose stools and lots of rumbling in my tummy. i have had this burning feeling in the back of my throat all the way down into my tummy, as well. i have had the chills off and on, and now I am very achy in my back, shoulders, wrists, and even the bottom of my feet . Does this sound like a virus or the flu?
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
You are most likely suffering from acute viral gastroenteritis.
Presence of loose stools, gargling sounds in stomach, body ache suggests the diagnosis.
You should consult with internal medicine specialist and should go for thorough check up.
Although cause of gastroenteritis appears to be viral yet you should take complete antibiotic therapy, antispasmodics, probiotics.
You should avoid milk and all milk products.
Maintain your hydration status.
Take oral rehydration solutions along with potassium rich supplements.
take care,
Dr. Mayank Bhargava
