Had Many Surgeries For PVT. How Long Can We Live With Its Complications?

I had major surgery for PVT. First had whipple surgery which resulted in severe infection for 3 months. Then had surgery to put shunt in, which collapsed. Next, removal of spleen. I am a bleeder and cannot even take a baby aspirin and am concerned since I have AFIB and don t want to have a stroke. All of this over 3 years of my life. I am tired of spending so much time at doctors and hospitals. How long do you live with PVT and its complications?

Thank you for asking!
i am really sorry for your Portal Vein Thrombosis (PVT). My friend i want to reassure that portal vein obstruction once endoscopies and TIPS surgery are done, is very good with 10 years survival upto 75% with less than 10 % mortality rate.Only cirrhosis and malignancy worsens the odds which you don't have.
You need Propanolols, Octreotides and warfarins with constant monitoring of bleeding profile.
Hope it helps
