Had Morning After Pill After Unprotected Sex. Experiencing Stomach Pain And Brown Discharge. Am I Pregnant?

Hie I had unprotected sex with my bf on 13 Oct but he didn't ejaculate inside then on 16 Oct I drank morning after pill but since yesterday am experiencing serious pain from my stomach and shoulder with brown discharge...what is the cause for that am I pregnant?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
If you have taken the emergency pill within 72 hours of the unprotected intercourse, that can give protection from pregnancy.
Emergency contraceptive pill can alter the menstrual cycle because of high levels of hormones in it.
It can lead to side effects like pain abdomen, bloating sensation, irregular bleeding etc.
These symptoms increase with repeated usage of tablets.
So, possibly your symptoms could be due to the pill.
Taking analgesics can possibly decrease the pain.
And your spotting may turn into bleeding.
Usually these symptoms will subside soon.
If the pain becomes severe better to consult gynecologist once.
