Had Pace Maker Put In For Low Pulse Rate, Getting Chest Pain On Walking. Is This Normal?

My Mother just had a pace maker put in for low pulse rate. She is 70. She has always been healthy and an avid 4 mile walker. This was last Thursday. she tried to walk today and immediately felt winded and had slight chest pain . Is this normal or should I force her to call the Dr. right away.

Hi,
Thanks for your query...
This is not at all normal. with a background of cardiac illness with a pacemaker in situ.. It will be better to rule out the abnormality if any of pacemaker functioning...

Best wishes
