Had Parathyroid Surgery. Low Vitamin D Levels Caused High Calcium Levels?

Hi I am a 41 year old female who had parathyroid surgery in Oct of 2012. My last to blood test concern me. About a month ago my ca was 10.2 and PTH was 42 2 weeks later it was 10.00 with PTH of 47 and vitamin d 32. I m concerned I may still have another bad parathyroid....or is it possible that my d being on the lower side has made my calcium on the high end as well as the PTH?

Hello

low vitamin D usually causes low calcium. Your calcium, PTH and vitamin D are fairly with in the range. I would prefer to monitor your calcium and PTH. If both show a increasing trend, then we can consider imaging of parathyroid gland.
