Had Perianal Abscess. Removed Surgically. Having Burning And Itchiness. How Long Healing Process?

Hi,I had a perianal abscess removed surgically January 3rd and went for a follow up in the sixth I currently do not have insurance. I was on the left cheek directly to the left of the anus. It has been exactly four months and I am still experiencing buring or occasional itching due to urine or sweat and occasional blood spotting and also the release of a clear thin puss which yesterday looked a little thicker and more yellow. How long is the healing process? And how do you know if you have formed a fistula? The cut is obviously still open but in the Mirror it just looks like a pink/purple slightly moist pea size wound closing and healing with close to the surface. I'm assuming the original incision wasn't deeper than an inch if that? Please advise thank you.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
It seems that this might be more than a peri-anal abscess.
This might be non healing ulcer or there might be Fistula-in ano.
Simple peri-anal abscess does not take so much time for healing.
Consult surgeon and get examined for Fistula.
If there is no fistula then go for proper dressing by doctor only.
If require go for antibiotic medicine course again.
Ok and bye.
