Had Period For 10 Days. Have Night Sweats, Insomnia And Burning In Legs. Have Fibroid. Reason?

Had a period for 10 days, light after 6, but have night sweats hot and cold also insomnia burning in legs, no pain, sometimes no bleeding, sometimes little clots, was disgnosed with fibroids about 12 years ago but always had a regular period, this has happened for the first month. What do you suggest, I am 53 years old.

Thank you for choosing Healthcaremagic. As per your age I suggest you to get evaluated once again, get a scan for endometrial thickness and check if the fibroids have increased/ decreased in size. I feel all your symptoms are due to anaemia i.e. decreased hemoglobin.

Hi thanks for your question.
The symptoms you described are of pre menupausal syndrome.These symptoms occur before cessation of menstruation.These symptoms are due to decrease in female sex hormone.Consult a gynaecologist who may put you on hormone replacement therpy.Hopefully you will get relief from symptoms with HRT.
