Had Ptb Earlier For Which Treatment Was Taken. Now Scars Showed Up In The Chest X-ray. Does Sputum Culture Show Bacteria Of Tb?
Hei, i am 24yrs female 5yrs early i had ptb, n i took 8mnth tb medicine. Since my husband is in australia i applied for visa and i did chest xray but immigration said i have scars in my lungs. Hence they asked for sputum culture n repeat xray. But i dont have any chest problem after my treatment. Does my sputum culture shows bacteria of tb. I m really worried.

Hi, when one has tuberculosis, it possible for recurrance, at any time, so they will ask for recent xray, and culture of sputum for excluding any possibility. though trouble for you should go through the process, to satisfy the rules of the immegration,Thank you.
