Had Shingles. Taken Antibiotics And Ibuprofen. Have Sensitivity And Irritation. Should I Wait?

Hello,
My name is Agustin and I had shingles about 3 weekes ago, it has improved for the most part, the only thing that seems it's taking too long it's the area on my scalp where the rash hit the most, it's still very sensitve and irritable, and with pain, my Dr gave me antibodies and pain killers, I'm done with the meds except I have to take iboprofen 600 for the pain sometimes at nite, should I wait longer to see if the rash goes away or should seek the advice of a specialist?
Thank you

Hello,
thanks for using health care magic

It would have been best to comment if there was a picture of the rash.

However, shingles is viral born and most often but not all cases is associated with

immunodepression.

Antibiotics are prescribed only in the case where is superinfection by bacterial.

Concerning the pains and irritation, it is a normal thing and it is known as post

herpetic neuralgia. Pain killers would help but much help will be obtain by use of

neural pain killers such as amitriptylline, carbamazepine etc.

If the lesions are not dry, you need dressing to be done regular.

It would be necessary to get tested for HIV and be sure of your status.

Best regards
