Had Slept With Kero Heater On. Feeling Nauseated, Headache And Dizzy. What To Do?

Oh thanks. Spend last Monday night up at our weekender. freezing cold and left the kero heater on all night. It stunk. My husband got up at 2.am and did put it outside but I still feel nauseated and have a head ache and a vig dizzy. Should I be drinking heaps of water or anyother suggestions you have would be appreciated. Many thanks Sue Cooper

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Looks like the you cant stand the smell of kerosene bnuring for long. It must have caused a mild irritation to mucosal lining in your arway. This headache is temporary. Your husband did a good thing by removing the offensive agent (kerosene heater) outside.

You could take deep breaths in the open for a while. If the headache is disturbilg, a simple pain killer (over the counter medication) will help you.

Please avoid kerosene vapors and use any other suitable alternative for heating up your room and let there be adequate ventilation while the heater is in use.

Hope this helps.
