Had Sore Throat, Cough, Congestion, Runny Nose, Neck Pain, Headache. Used Allergy Medicine. Treatment?
This past week I have had a sore throat with no sores/pestules, unproductive (for the most part) cough, congestion, runny nose with sometimes yellow nasal mucus, neck pain, and a constant headache. Also, when I bend over or stand up it's almost excrutiating pain through my entire neck and head. I've tried different sinus/allergy pills, decongestants, etc. but nothing seems to work.

Welcome in the HCM,
according to your description you have the infected (yellow nasal mucus) sinusitis that aggravating on bending. for exact diagnosis you required the CT scan PNS and if it not resolved on medical treatment then surgical(FESS) treatment is indicated . Therefore you consult the ENT specialist for better management. thanks

these are treated as allergies as sinus infection causes post nasal drip leeading to throat problems and the filled sinuses causes vacuum headache
you need not take decongestants
take doxycycline 100 mg bd for 7-10 days to treat the sinuse infection and can take sos in future as these clears the sinuss very fast
take simple anti allergic instead of decongestants
like fexofenadine 120 mg bd
add liquid antacid bd to prevent gerd
take antiallergic tab cpm at night
apply neomycin h ointment in nose bd
and sea water 2 dops at night in each nose to clear ears and back of throat
take 3 week and consult doctor to trea on allergy guidelines for cure
