Had Surgery For Retina Detachment. Pain And Inflammation In The Eye. Need Cure

My husband had to have eye surgery in 2009 for retina detachment. The doctor placed silicon oil in his eye. He got along fine until now. He is experiencing a lot of pain from inflammation as well as the pressure in the eye being slightly elevated. He has seen his doctor on 2 separate occasions for this. The first visit, the doctor prescribed eye drops with prednisone for the inflammation and the second time, he prescribed eye drops for pressure. My husband has been using both drops as prescribed for 3 days. He continues to have pain around that eye. He is due to go back next week to see the doctor but in the meantime, what can we do for the pain?

FROM THE HISTORY IT IS CLEAR THAT PATIENT HAS UNDERWENT RETINAL DETACHMENT SURGERY. HE IS NOW HAVING SECONDARY RISE IN INTRA OCULAR PRESSURE CALLED AS GLAUCOMA, FOR WHICH HE IS ON TREATMENT WITH PREDNISOLONE EYE DROPS AND ANTIGLAUCOMA EYE DROPS. FOR PAIN RELIEF HE CAN TAKE ORAL ANALGESIC DRUGS LIKE DICLOFENAC TABLETS. ONCE THE INFLAMMATION SUBSIDES HE WILL BE FINE. LATER SILICON OIL NEEDS REMOVAL
