Had Surgery To Remove Fibroid, Bleeding, History Of Depression And Anxiety, Taking Birth Control

Just had surgery to remove a fibroid. Most of it was taken out, but was bleeding so much, it was risky for my doctor to remove completely. Since the surgery, I have stopped bleeding and have no pain(prior to surgery was bleeding for 3 weeks and hematocrit was low). My doctor wants me to take Lupron for three months. I think it's a death sentence for me(have a long severe history of depression and anxiety). Surgery was only a week ago, but wouldn't it best to wait and see. I am also taking a birth control pill and Premarin 2 times a day.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Since you are symptomatically better to a large extent, you can wait for a few weeks before starting Lupron. You can continue taking the birth control pill till then. Do take iron supplements also to combat the iron loss.
