Help as a family we r totally distressed n never saw this coming after the operation which was a life saving decision ..... Dad had lung/ heart disease & diabetes
Hello there,
Its really sad to hear the outcome,
However, it is not uncommon to have such problems in such co morbid conditions(age, heart disease, diabetes,High risk surgery etc)
Doctors in ICU shall manage the deficits etc,
The complains brought forth by you is suggestive either of ischemic process in the CNS or metabolic problem (electrolyte disturbance etc).
Your Dad needs intensive support in the ICU but it is difficult to predict the outcome at this stage,
Quite a lot of pupil respond well to post operative care,I wish the same for him,
Wish your Dad a good health
