Had Unprotected Foreplay Where Penis Was Slightly Inserted Into Vagina Followed By Protected Sex. Possible HIV Infection?

HI DOC,,
i have query ihope u can help. last week i has vaginal intercourse with a married woman with condom.But before i penetrated i feel my penis touched her vagina .inserted a bit..thought i withdrew immediately as i ws not having the protection ,,but i think there ws some whitish vaginal discharge the penis may have contacted in the mean time.My concern is if there was any chance of catching any HIV infection,,,however i m not sure of her HIV status,,could be negative as well. But for my knowledge i want to know can HIV spread like this? THNX

Yes, there is a chance, although a very slim chance, there is a chance that you could be infected with HIV, if the person you had sexual intercourse with has a HIV positive status.

The best thing to do would be to get tested by the HIV PCR testing, 15-21 days after contact with a person of unknown status.

Although highly unlikely, you should go ahead with the testing.
