Had Unprotected Sex. Have Nausea, Tiredness, Sensitive To Smell And Back Pain. Pregnancy?
I ovulated on the 11 and ended up having unprotected sex the same day. Since the 14th , i have been feeling really nauseous! Im more tired then usual now , sensitive to smell, face broke out, having cramps like i am about to start my cycle, and having lower back pains. Im also going on 5 days late . Could i be pregnant?
Dear Gabbybaby91,
Since you are 5 days late and your periods are used to be regular, there is a big possibility that you are pregnant. The symptoms are suggestive but not conclusive, so to get sure, you should have a blood hcg test. If the test is positive, you should start Folic acid supplement intake, and visit your doctor to document a healthy intrauterine pregnancy and exclude ectopic pregnancy.
If the test is negative, you may either wait another week for spontaneous menstruation or visit your doctor to prescribe you progesterone to induce menstruation.
I hope these words were useful to you and good luck.
Dr. Ahmed Bahaa.
