Had Unprotected Sex After Period. Took Femiplan To Avoid Ovulation. Feeling Cramps. Pregnancy Chances?

Hi doctor, i had unprotected sex on the 8th day after my periods...that is, my periods started on 31-07-2013 to 4-08-2013. I then took femiplan everyday pill starting from 10-08-2013 upto 12-08-2013 i.e for 3 days then i stopped taking them in the hope that this would cause me not to release an egg hopefully..i have not had any other sex since the one on the 8th day after my periods and i do not plan to engage in unprotected sex soon. i am having slight cramps and i am not seeing signs of ovulation. could i b pregnant?

Hello,

Unprotected sex on 8th day after period is relatively safe if your previous cycle was regular. Taking contraceptive pills for 3 days does not give you full protection against unwanted pregnancy. Here, you can be pregnant but chance is less.

Wait for next coming period. Do one home pregnancy test immediately after missed period. Blood test for beta-hCG is required for confirmation after 1 wk.

Practice safe sex. Good luck.
