Hi,
Welcome to HCM.

Early HIV symptoms can occur around 4 -6 weeks. After that at least for 5-7 years no symptoms will occur for them as their immune system is still competent enough to fight with germs. Only when the immune system attains a very bad shape ( around 7-10 years after the risky contact) other symptoms explained by you can occur.
So all your problem may be due to any other respiratory system problem.
If the HIV test is negative after 6 months of the risky exposure, then it is unlikely to be due to HIV. If you have still doubt have one more test and rule out HIV. Consult your physician with your back history, he will guide you better.
Get well soon.
