Had Unprotected Sex, Now Spotting Seen. Recently Removed Implant From Arm Also. Possibility Of Pregnancy?

Hi there, I have had the implanon in my arm for approx 6yrs (2 rounds you could say) I had it removed approx 3 weeks ago (not more than 3 weeks) I had unprotected sex the day of the implant being removed and 2 more times since (including last night) I havent had a period (just 2 days of spot bleeding- brown not red sorry for too much information) which isnt unusual as I didnt get much more then spot bleeding while on the implanon. What are the chances that I could be pregnant (I know it would be too soo to test) I just want to know if I am being too hopeful for this scenario.

OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,
Ovulation will return in the majority of implant users within six weeks after removal. So, it cannot be predicted if you had conceived. The only way to know for sure is to test for serum beta-hCG levels about two weeks after the last intercourse or get a trans-vaginal sonogram. You may see a specialist if a normal cycle does not occur even after 2 months. Hope your query is clarified. Take care.

OB & GYN Specialist Dr. Richa Agarwal's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
The chances of pregnancy have always been there with unprotected sex.
The chances of pregnancy in your case may be there because you had unprotected sex and you are not using implant also.
You should consult a gynaecologist for urine, blood test and ultrasonography to rule out pregnancy.
Good luck.
Take care.
