Had Viral Infection, Limbs Pain, Sore Throat, Cold. Gargled With Antiseptic. Why Is There Upper Back Pain?

I have had a viral infection over the past few days (a high fever on Tues night, pains in limbs, shakiness etc.) I have been feeling better in myself but have had an extremely sore throat (no cough or cold) for which I have been gargling with antiseptic. Yesterday I noticed a pain in my left upper back (about 4 inches above my elbow when holding my arm at my side). Today I notice the pain is worse. It is present all the time and does not appear to be connected to my breathing. Do I need to see a doctor?
