Had Wisdom Tooth Removed, Soreness Near Gums, Tonsils, Throat Muscles Very Painful. Is It Due The Incision?

4 weeks ago I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed. Where the hole is for the top right one is very sore. The gums around the area hurt. My jaw is very stiff and hurts to open. My tonsil and the right side and my "throat muscle" on the right side is very sore also when I swallow. Is this normal? Its only the one incision that is bothersome

Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain and swelling associated with difficulty in opening mouth may be associated with development of dry socket at the site of extraction.
I would advice you maintain oral hygiene well.
Rinse your mouth using warm saline or betadine.
Avoid anxiety and stress.
Take complete rest for another 5-6 days.
Maintain oral hygiene well.
Dressing the socket with gauze soaked in povidine iodine solution may be helpful.
Hope this helps.
