Hello,
Hair thinning can be due to various causes-hereditary, pollution, stress, dandruff, several diseases and medications. Treatment will be more successful if aimed at the specific cause. While the rest are somewhat curable, genetic inheritance cannot be overcome. Having adequate vitamin and mineral intake along with avoidance of dandruff can be of some help. It is true that Minoxidil helps in hair growth but the result is short-living as there is excessive hair fall once the drug is stopped and hence the treatment may have to be continued life-long. Fortunately today, there should not be much worry about hair fall as you have plenty of hair-treatment clinics available with hair transplant techniques. Hope this helps. Good luck.
