Hard Knot On The Left Side Of Head Right Around The Ear, Hurts When Pushed. What Is This ?
I nearly head the back of my head. On my headboard . Didn t really think about it . Now I have a hard knot on the left side of my head right around the ear. It also feels like a slight smaller one right beside it. It only hurts if I push down it, it has been over maybe 2 weeks. No change. How should I think about this .

It can be subcutaneous lesion, infection or swollen lymph node. Most common this is swollen lymph node due to some respiratory infection. If this is painful it is more likely to be infected. In every case you need to do ultrasound or needle aspiration for right diagnosis and then it can be surgically removed. Wish you good health. Regards
