Has The Abortion Worked When Abortion Pills Were Taken Thrice At One Week Of Pregnancy Followed By Spotting And Excessive Saliva?
Hi pls I took the abortion pills three times I think am a week pregnant ad I didn’t bleed but experienced spotting pls ad my breast has stopped paining me but haven’t gone down ad i experienced a lot of saliva in my mouth I don’t know if it works
The saliva in your mouth is a side effect of misoprostol. Spotting is not necessarily indicative of success. Strong cramping and heavy bleeding (often with clots / tissue) within hours. After misoprostol, if you start having strong cramping and heavy bleeding with clots and tissue, it is the most typical sign. Later you may have lighter bleeding/spotting for days–weeks and the return of your period in 4–8 weeks.
However, since you did not bleed heavily and did not have cramping pain, it may be a sign of incomplete abortion or failure. Urgently visit a gynecologist and get clinically evaluated. You will be managed accordingly. Be well hydrated, and avoid inserting anything vaginally until reviewed. You need follow-up testing (blood or ultrasound), and you need urgent medical support and treatment. Don't stay at home. Get treated at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
